Tritton Copper Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.

Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.

The Tritton tenement package is highly prospective for base metals deposits, covering about 2,330km2 of the Girilambone Basin. More than 750,000 tonnes of copper have been discovered on the Tritton tenement package since modern exploration commenced in the 1980’s.

Development and Exploration Projects

Tritton has a significant exploration and development program underway to extend mine life and improve ore grades. New underground mines are being developed at the Budgerygar and Avoca Tank deposits located close to the Tritton mill while mining studies have been completed on a cut back of the old Murrawombie open pit.

Exploration continues on a number of targets on the Tritton tenement package including the exciting Constellation deposit. Aeris is currently fast tracking Constellation to development with a pre-feasibility study underway.
